AMPLÍAN PLAZO PARA LA PESCA DEL CAMARÓN HASTA EL 2 DE ENERO DE 2025

19 diciembre 2024.- El Ministerio de la Producción ha decidido ampliar el plazo para la extracción, procesamiento, transporte, comercialización y consumo del camarón hasta el 2 de enero de 2025, según lo establece la Resolución Ministerial 000-491-2024 Produce, publicada en El Peruano.

Esta medida fue tomada excepcionalmente, permitiendo a los pescadores continuar con la actividad pesquera durante un periodo adicional.

A partir del 3 de enero de 2025, la pesca del camarón quedará prohibida hasta el 31 de marzo, como parte de la regulación destinada a proteger la especie y evitar su extinción en las cuencas del país.

En los últimos años, la extracción del camarón se prohibía desde el 20 de diciembre, pero este año, la ampliación del plazo no afectará la reproducción del crustáceo, según el gerente regional de Producción en Arequipa. La medida fue implementada a solicitud de los camaroneros, quienes pidieron más tiempo para llevar a cabo sus actividades.
