08 abril 2026.- En el marco de las Elecciones Generales 2026, la Oficina Descentralizada de Procesos Electorales (ODPE) Mollendo, en coordinación con el Jurado Electoral Especial Arequipa 1, realizó la verificación del material electoral que será utilizado en los comicios del próximo 12 de abril.

Durante la actividad, se procedió a la apertura de cuatro (04) cajas de material electoral y cuatro (04) cajas correspondientes al coordinador de local de votación, con el objetivo de garantizar la transparencia del proceso.

Al inicio de la jornada, el jefe de la ODPE Mollendo, Marco Antonio Quiroz Chávez, dio detalles sobre el procedimiento, invitando posteriormente, al representante del JEE Arequipa 1, Jhon Malpartida a seleccionar el material que sería verificado.

Tras la apertura, se revisó el contenido organizado en tres paquetes: útiles, instalación y escrutinio. Entre los materiales verificados se encontraron cédulas de sufragio -incluidas las del sistema braille para personas con discapacidad visual-, documentos electorales, lista de electores, láminas autoadhesivas y cargo de entrega de actas, entre otros.

Concluida la revisión, las cajas fueron cerradas nuevamente bajo estrictas medidas de seguridad y se incorporó un acta que será verificada por los miembros de mesa durante la instalación, dejando constancia de que fueron abiertas conforme a los protocolos establecidos.

La actividad pública contó con la participación de Fabiola Calle Espino, Subprefecta provincial, y de la comandante Rossabell Villanueva Torres, Comisaria Sectorial de Mollendo; así como representantes de la prensa local.

El jefe de la ODPE Mollendo, informó que el material electoral será trasladado directamente a los locales de votación bajo estrictas medidas de seguridad.

En la provincia se instalarán 178 mesas de sufragio en 21 locales de votación, distribuidos en los distritos de Cocachacra, Deán Valdivia, Mejía, Punta de Bombón, Mollendo e Islay-Matarani.

De esta manera, la Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE) garantiza el adecuado desarrollo de las Elecciones Generales 2026
